Deploying Hi Marley Connect Through Microsoft Intune (Google Chrome)

Introduction

This guide provides a general framework for deploying the Hi Marley Connect browser extension via Microsoft Intune. It serves as a recommendation that IT teams can follow, but actual deployments may vary based on specific organizational requirements, browser versions, and system configurations. Carriers may encounter differences depending on their infrastructure and software versions. Please validate configurations against your internal policies and test before full deployment. Step 1. Create a Configuration Profile

1. Sign in to the Microsoft Intune Admin Center:
   • Go to the Intune Admin Center
2. Navigate to Devices > Configuration Profiles
3. Select + Create Profile:
   • In the settings menu, choose the appropriate platform for your deployment (e.g., Windows 10 and later)
4. Select Settings Catalog as the Profile Type
5. Select Create at the bottom of the form
6. Name Your Profile:
   • Enter a Name for the profile (e.g., "Hi Marley Connect Extension Deployment").
   • Optionally, provide a description to clarify its purpose
7. Select Next to open the configurations settings

Step 2. Configure Profile

1. In the 2^nd tab labeled Configuration Settings, select + Add Settings:
   • Navigate to Google > Google Chrome > Extensions
2. Set Force-Installed Extensions:
   • Select Configure the list of force-installed apps and extensions
   • Close out of the settings pane
3. Toggle new configuration setting to Enabled
4. Enter the following Hi Marley Connect Extension ID into "Input":

5. Select next to move into the Scopes tag:
   • If needed, adjust the scopes to match your organization’s requirements for device or user targeting

Step 3. Whitelist URL's to be Matched for Phone Numbers Associated with a Hi Marley Case

1. Define Extension Settings
   • Locate Extension Settings and set the following
   • Policy Name: Configure Hi Marley Connect Extensions
   • Value:

• Note: URLs that change based on user actions must be formatted correctly to ensure Hi Marley Connect remains active across the service
• For example, a dynamic URL like https://claimcenter/agbHVhbGv/cc/ClaimCenter.do should be formatted as https://claimcenter/*/cc/ClaimCenter.do to account for variations while maintaining connectivity

Step 4. Complete Profile Creation

1. Select Next to continue to Assignments:
   • In the Assignments tab, add the required users, groups, or devices that should receive the extension
2. Select Next to continue to Review + Create tab
3. Ensure the summary table aligns with expectations
4. Select Create to deploy new profile
