Brands & Line of Business in Integrations
Introduction
If your organization has multiple brands and/or lines of business, Hi Marley can help you manage them all efficiently! Hi Marley's Company Hierarchy ensures that you can communicate seamlessly with your end users without any confusion.
Locating Company Hierarchy
Company Hierarchy is available to System Admins by clicking on Settings in the Sitewide navigation bar and then clicking Company Hierarchy.
Brands
Including brands from within your organization's family of services will allow you to configure the experience that your operators provide to end-users - down to the very first message that they receive!
Creating Brands
To create new brands, click the Add Brand + button. There is no limit to the number of Brands you can create!
If you have not created any Brands yet, Hi Marley will display a default Brand with the same name as your Organization.
Editing and Deleting Brands
To edit an existing brand's name, click the ellipses menu (three dots) and Edit.
Deleting Brands
To delete a brand, the following statements must be true:
- Your organization has at least two existing brands
- The selected brand does not have any Lines of Business within it
Keep in mind that deleting a brand will not remove the brand for the cases created under the brand.
Where Brands Appear
A Brand name is always included in the message prefix of an outbound text message. To learn more about message prefixes and where they appear, click here!
Lines of Business
Lines of Business can be added to brands within Hi Marley and help to organize and customize the Opt-in Messages your operators send to end-users.
Each Brand can have the following lines of business for selection:
- Personal Auto
- Personal Home
- Personal Other
- Commercial Auto
- Commercial Property
- Commercial General Liability
- Commercial - Workers Comp
- Commercial - Other
- Other / Misc. Lines - Crop
- Other / Misc. Lines - Life
- Other / Misc. Lines - Other
Creating Lines of Business
To create a Line of Business, click the Choose Lines of Business button. Next, select the Lines of Business that you wish to add to the brand and click Save Lines.
It is important to note that each brand may not be associated with multiple of the same line of business. For example, The Hi Marley brand may only have one Commercial Lines Auto Line of Business within it.
Editing Lines of Business
After selecting the Lines of Business for a brand, you may like to edit the names of the Lines of Business to match the naming conventions of your organization. To do so, click the ellipses menu (three dots) next to the Line of Business that you wish to modify.
Changing the display name only impacts how the Line of Business name is displayed in the application. All Lines of Business-specific features are based on the underlying type and sub-type combination (ex: Personal Auto) and not the display name.
Deleting Lines of Business
To delete a Line of Business, click the ellipses menu (three dots) next to the Line of Business that you wish to delete and Remove.
When a Line of Business is deleted, it will become hidden during case creation and cannot be chosen by operators at your organization. All existing cases that were created using that Line of Business will not be affected.
If a Line of Business is added to a brand that it was previously deleted from, Hi Marley will auto-populate it with its previously selected settings.
Where Lines of Business Appear
Brands and Lines of Business will appear for operators in the case creation form. After the brand is chosen, operators may select from any of the Lines of Business that have been created for it.
During Case creation. brand is a mandatory field and Line of Business is optional.

Brands & Line of Business in Integrations
Hi Marley will be able to support cases being categorized by line of business to enable custom welcome messages by Line of Business (LoB) and Brand.
If your organization has defined Brands with associated LoBs under Company Hierarchy in the Hi Marley webapp, then the Brand field below will be required in the Case Creation API (LoB is not require, as some Brands may not have associated LoBs).
