This article explains how to access and manage your personal settings, including your profile information, auto-replies, and notification preferences.
Profile Status
Active, and Away are the two available status in Hi Marley. These status are dependent on whether your Away Message Auto Reply is enabled. You are also able to set yourself as Active or Away using the toggle located under your initials.
When you are Active in Hi Marley, you will see a green dot in the top right by your profile picture
When you are Away in Hi Marley, you will see a red dot in the top right by your profile picture and a pop-up notification letting you know your Away messaging is enabled. Clicking "Disable" will disable will disable your away message and mark you as Active.
Accessing Personal Settings
You can access your personal settings in two ways:
Click on your profile icon (your initials) in the top-right corner and select My Settings
You can also Navigate to Settings from the left-hand navigation bar
Once selected, you will be taken to the Personal Settings page.
Profile Settings
Within the Profile section, you can manage your personal information.
You can update the following details:
- First and Last Name
- Email Address
- Note: If you use Single Sign On to log-in to Hi Marley, do not update your email-id.
- User Title
- Phone & Office Number
Auto-Replies
The Auto-Replies section allows you to configure automated responses when you are unavailable.
You can:
Set up an Out-of-Office message
Define your Office Hours
These settings help ensure timely communication and set expectations when you’re not available.

Notifications
In the Notifications section, you can control how and when you receive updates.
You can customize:
Delivery method (e.g., email notifications)
In-system notifications
Types of notifications you want to receive
Adjust these settings to match your preferences and stay informed without unnecessary noise.

Preferences
Depending on how your system admin has configured this you may be able to define using unread or unaddressed message badges.
- Unread badges indicate a new message that has not yet been opened.
- When using unread; you are also able to define if internal messages from other operators should display as unread for you. If a response in a chat from someone internally should not display as unread for you toggle this feature on.
- Unaddressed badge indicates messages that have not yet received an outbound human response.
To define how your inbox functions; toggle to the setting that should be applied. In the screenshot below the inbox is configured to use Unread badges.
Change Password (Non SSO / Marley Authorization Users Only)
- Type your Current Password
- Type your New Password
- Repeat your New Password
- Click Save
